            🔒 TL;DR: K.I.T. is 100% self-hosted. Your data never leaves your computer. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information, API keys, or trading data.

K.I.T. (Knight Industries Trading) is an open-source, self-hosted trading bot. This privacy policy explains how the software handles your data. Since K.I.T. runs entirely on your own hardware, your privacy is inherently protected by design.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 On Your Local Installation

K.I.T. stores the following data locally on your machine only:

Exchange API keys (encrypted with AES-256)
Trading configuration and preferences
Trade history and performance logs
Chat history (if using Telegram/WhatsApp integration)
Memory files (MEMORY.md, USER.md, etc.)

2.2 On This Website (kitbot.finance)

When you visit this website, we may collect:

Basic analytics (page views, country-level location)
Session cookies for website functionality
Email address (only if you subscribe to updates)

            🛡️ Important: K.I.T. software NEVER sends your trading data, API keys, or personal information to our servers or any third party. All processing happens locally.

All sensitive data stored by K.I.T. on your machine is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. Your API keys are never stored in plain text.

3.2 Third-Party Services

K.I.T. connects to the following services based on your configuration:

Exchanges: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc. (only the ones you connect)
AI Providers: OpenAI, Anthropic (only if you configure them)
Messaging: Telegram, WhatsApp (only if you enable notifications)

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. K.I.T. only sends the minimum data required to execute your trading commands.

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties because:

K.I.T. is self-hosted — we don't have access to your data
No telemetry or analytics are built into the K.I.T. software
Your trading activity is completely private

Since K.I.T. is self-hosted, you have complete control over your data:

Access: All your data is stored in readable files on your machine
Deletion: Delete any data by removing the K.I.T. installation folder
Portability: Export your data anytime by copying your workspace
